Grayson is an innovation strategist and host of two podcasts—The Road to Autonomy podcast and the SAE Tomorrow Today podcast. He formerly served as the co-chair of the City of Beverly Hills Mayor’s Autonomous Vehicle Task Force and was an active member of the City’s Smart City / Technology Committee which advises the Beverly Hills City Council on technology.

In 2015, the City of Beverly Hills was chosen by Google as one of America’s digital capitals. Along with his Beverly Hills guidance, Grayson was appointed a global health economics fellow at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Stantec GenerationAV™ Consultant – AV Safety and Technical Standard

With more than 37 years of experience delivering automotive technologies in Europe, Asia, and the United States as a technical and business leader, Andy is a highly respected member of the AV community.

Within Stantec GenerationAV™, he focuses on development testing, safety, and technical standards. Andy’s knowledge is particularly relevant to our customers as they look to safely deploy the latest technology in connected and automated vehicles. While chief technology officer of SAE International, he led the teams to produce the first cyber security guidelines (J3061) and the first recommended practice for driving automation levels (J3016) which have since been adopted globally.

As the chief technology officer of the American Center for Mobility, Andy delivered one of the first purpose-built, large-scale AV test facilities in North America. He’s also founder and chair of the AV Test Site Community of Practice which is a global task force under SAE’s On Road Automated Driving Committee.

Stantec GenerationAV™ Consultant – AV Risk Analysis

Chase focuses on automated vehicle (AV) and operational design domain risk analysis. He spent the first decade of his career building a deep understanding of control system theory, development, optimization, and management.

While evaluating the global market landscape of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and AV platforms, Chase helps clients assess and deploy solutions for next-generation ecosystems. His scope as part of our AV Accelerator team includes AV safety analysis and verification, reviewing tools and AV testing methodologies, and supporting risk analysis strategy and execution.

He’s also helping our team develop safety-related and educational products focused on AV and ADAS safety, deployment, operations, and maintenance.
